We’re searching for a passionate Community Manager to lead the charge in building (and nurturing) a thriving community for our games and studio.

General

In this role, you’ll be the bridge between our players and our team. You’ll educate players, bring valuable community insights to the developers, foster meaningful connections, and drive engagement across multiple platforms. You’ll strategize, create, and manage conversations that build positive sentiment while ensuring our community feels heard, valued, and excited about our games.

This role is a fixed-term employment until the end of 2025, with a chance of extension. If you thrive in gaming communities, enjoy connecting with players, and have experience in building a healthy relationship between studio and players - we’d love to hear from you!

What You’ll Do

• Be the Bridge Between Players & Studio – Foster meaningful connections, and communicate across multiple platforms

• Engage & Support Players – Answer questions from players, handle feedback publicly and internally with the team, and ensure a positive, inclusive community experience.

• Collaborate with the marketing and PR team to ensure the community efforts are aligned with campaigns, marketing strategies, and brand values

• Lead Streaming Initiatives - Develop streamer strategies, host and appear in live streams, and create occasional social media content.

• Organize, plan & execute Community Events: Organize online and in-person events to strengthen player engagement.

• Collect and communicate community insights: use data and feedback to help the studio prioritize among player wants and needs on a regular basis.

• Monitor & analyze player sentiment: keep a finger on the pulse and temperature in the community over time. Scrape platforms to identify community trends, insights, and shifts in community perception. Identify and encourage key contributors and top content sharers among the playerbase.

• Define and contextualise the customer and their needs and quantify problem hypotheses in IF and THEN form, in tests for product designers..

• Drives our engagement in our community outlets like Discord and Reddit.

Who you are

• An excellent communicator. You value two-way communication and dialogue.

• You are a positive and calm person, that can handle pressure and reactions from community members with patience and care

• You enjoy games, social media, streaming, and don’t mind being in the spotlight/on camera

Required Experience & Traits

• 3-5 years of experience in community building within the gaming industry

• Strong communication skills - both written and verbal (English)

• Highly knowledgeable in gaming culture

• Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and apply insights.

• Experience streaming games

• A fearless attitude, bringing a new game to the market

Bonus Points

• Copywriting and storytelling skills is a plus

• Content creator background is a plus

• Customer support-experience is a plus

Location

As a member of the core team, being able to consistently work from our Gothenburg office is a huge plus. We feel that in the formative stage of game development, being able to share a physical space is crucial for creativity and communication.

Who we are

To The Sky was founded in Sept 2021 and has its main office in Gothenburg, Sweden.

We develop games for PC and console using Unreal Engine 5 to power our ambitions. But we are not all about development, building a great studio culture and workplace is core to who we are and what we want to achieve.

As a team, we stem from various AAA backgrounds and joined together to create the kinds of games we would love to play. We are currently working on an action/adventure title in its mid stages.
